4 Selection considerations for QJB submersible thrusters
The selection of submersible thrusters is a complex task, and the correctness of the selection directly affects the normal use of the equipment. As a principle of selection, it is necessary to ensure that the mixer can fully perform its mixing function in the appropriate volume, which can generally be determined by the flow rate. According to the different process requirements of sewage treatment plants, the optimal flow rate of the mixer should be ensured between 0.15~0.3m/s. If the flow rate is lower than 0.15m/s, the push flow mixing effect cannot be achieved. If the flow rate exceeds 0.3m/s, it will affect the process effect and cause waste. So before selecting, first determine the location where the low-speed thruster will be used, such as sewage tanks, sludge tanks, and biochemical tanks; Next are the parameters of the medium, such as suspended solids content, viscosity, temperature, and pH value; Also, the shape and depth of the pool.
The required matching power for a submersible thruster is determined by the volume, density of the mixed liquid, and mixing depth, and one or more mixers are used depending on the specific situation.

The specialized installation system for low-speed thrusters can quickly install and disassemble submersible mixers without the need to discharge sewage from the pool.
When the pool depth H is less than 4 meters, it is recommended to use installation system I. The diving depth of the submersible mixer can be adjusted vertically as needed, and the maximum angle that can rotate around the guide rod in the horizontal plane is ± 60 °. The lifting system base, support frame, and lower bracket are all fixed with expansion bolts at the associated interface with the pool, without the need for reserved holes.
When the pool depth H is greater than 4 meters, it is recommended to use installation system II, which requires a concrete foundation (or steel structure base) to be built at the bottom of the pool. The installation system of low-speed thruster II uses guide steel rope instead of guide rod, which has the characteristics of convenient transportation and simple on-site installation. Under the installation conditions with a cantilevered pool roof (as shown in the picture), it appears more convenient and reliable to operate.
When the customer places an order, please provide the pool depth H and pool type diagram so that the factory can determine the size of the guide rod or guide wire during processing. The material of the installation system is made of stainless steel (or carbon steel). In addition to guide rods or guide wires, and lifting bases, multiple QJB thrusters can share a set of lifting devices in the installation system (except for special user requirements).
